About Me
Hello, I’m Dave Adams.
My journey into becoming a celebrant began with a life steeped in performance, connection, and storytelling.
Born and raised in Lancing, West Sussex, I first made a name for myself as a professional DJ. From intimate private events to high-profile nightclubs, my career spanned residencies at iconic venues like Brighton’s Top Rank Suite, Martines, Portsmouth, Kiss, St Albans, and The Venue, Bournemouth.
I even completed a six-month tour in Norway, playing to some of the country’s most prestigious crowds.
Over the years, I’ve hosted concerts for thousands, worked as a compere on national tours including the UK DJ of the Year competition, and earned awards for my DJ work.
My voice also found a home in radio. Starting with Spirit FM in West Sussex and leading to presenting roles at Southern FM, Sovereign FM, Splash FM, the More Radio Network, and other stations across the South Coast.
But it was through being asked to speak at funerals for close friends and family that I found something truly meaningful.
The heartfelt responses I received made me realise that I had a calling beyond the stage and the microphone. In 2020, I took the leap to become a celebrant, and professionally trained by The Academy of Professional Celebrants, I have attained a certificate of excellence as a funeral celebrant, and I haven’t looked back since.
Now, I feel truly privileged to support families during some of life’s most challenging moments. Every service I create is personal, respectful, and designed to honour the unique life of your loved one. It’s not just about ceremony, it’s about care, compassion, and connection.

I will arrange a time to meet with you at your home, or suitable alternative meeting place.
Or an online meeting can be arranged if you prefer.
During the meeting I will ask you to provide me with as much information as possible about the person who has died.
